Rupee gains 33 paisa against USD
The greenback closed at Rs153.33 rupees
KARACHI (Dunya News) – The exchange rate of US Dollar fell by 33 paisa in the interbank on Tuesday against Pakistani rupee.
The greenback closed at Rs153.33 rupees on second business day of the week compared to previous closing of 153.66.
However, since start of March, dollar has declined by 4.7 rupees or 3 percent. The greenback has lost 15.1 rupees or 9.34 percent of its value from its peak of 168.43 in August 2020.
Meanwhile, the price of euro was appreciated by 67 paisa and closed at Rs181.20 against the last working day’s trading of Rs180.53, the State Bank of Pakistan reported.
The Japanese Yen closed at Rs1.39, whereas a decrease of 60 paisa was witnessed in the exchange rate of British Pound, which was traded at Rs212.43 as compared to its last closing of Rs213.03.
The exchange rates of Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal increased by 9 paisa each to close at Rs41.74 and Rs40.88 respectively.
