Sugar price surges to Rs110/kg in various cities
In Lahore, the commodity is also being sold for Rs110/kg.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Despite the government’s attempt to reduce the sugar prices and increase the sugar supply in the domestic markets, the sugar prices across the country have surged again to Rs110 per kilogram.
According to the data shared by Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), the commodity is being sold in Islamabad and Rawalpindi and Peshawar for Rs110/kg after an increase of Rs 5.
In Lahore, the commodity is also being sold for Rs110/kg.
In Gujranwala, sugar is being sold for Rs102/kg while in Sialkot and Karachi it is being sold for Rs105/kg. In Faisalabad, the price of sugar is Rs104/kg, in Larkana, Sargodha, Multan and Bahawalpur Rs100/kg while in Hyderabad and Sukkur is it being sold for Rs98 and 96 per kg respectively.
