Dollar declines to one year low against greenback
The last time dollar was traded below Rs158 was on March 10 last year.
In Open Market, the greenback was traded at 157.75/158.25 per US$
KARACHI (Dunya News) – As the greenback rate has dropped to a one-year low, the US dollar can now be bought for Rs157.85 in the open market.
The last time dollar was traded below Rs158 was on March 10 last year.
According to data released by the State Bank of Pakistan, Pakistani rupee (PKR) appreciated by 19 paisa against US Dollar in interbank as the currency closed the day s trade at PKR 157.85 per US$, against yesterday s closing of PKR 158.04 per US$.
The rupee traded in a range of 37 paisa per US$ showing an intraday high bid of 158.00 and an intraday low offer of 157.68. Within the Open Market, the greenback was traded at 157.75/158.25 per USD.
Meanwhile, the currency gained 1.3 rupees against the Pound Sterling as the day s closing quote stood at PKR 219.18 per GBP, while the previous session closed at PKR 220.46 per GBP.
Similarly, PKR s value strengthened by 93 paisa against EUR which closed at PKR 189.56 at the interbank today.
