Overseas Pakistanis deposit record $11.2m in Roshan account in a single day
Inward remittances into RDA have reached $154.6 million: SBP
KARACHI (Dunya News) – State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) said that inward remittances from overseas Pakistani into Roshan Digital Account touched another daily high with inflows of $11.2 million on Dec 11, 2020.
Taking to its official Twitter handle, State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Monday said, “To this date, total inward remittances into RDA have reached $154.6 million, with $88.7 million invested in Naya Pakistan Certificates.”

Roshan Digital Account is a major initiative for overseas Pakistanis by the State Bank of Pakistan together with commercial banks operating in Pakistan.
For the first time in country’s history, they will be able to remotely open an account through an entirely digital and online process without any need to visit a bank branch, embassy or consulate.
Earlier on September 10, PM Imran Khan launched Roshan Digital Account for overseas Pakistanis. Addressing the launching ceremony, the Prime Minister termed the overseas Pakistanis as the biggest untapped asset emphasized the need to create suitable conditions for them so they can work for the development of the country.
