Loan worth Rs 7.25 trillion issued: SBP

The SBP has issued loans worth Rs 7.25 trillion to different departments during the eleven months.

According to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the federal government has borrowed Rs 5.78 trillion during the current fiscal year, which is 80 percent of the total amount. Loan worth Rs 1.65 trillion has been issued to the public sector.The government has received loan worth Rs 1.61 trillion from the central bank and Rs 4.17 billion from commercial banks.After the increase, the total volume of the government loan reached Rs 30.05 trillion, while volume of private sector loan stood at Rs 30.47 trillion.
