KARACHI (Dunya News) - The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) will not issue fresh currency notes on the occasion of Eidul Fitr, it said on Monday.
According to notification issued, a meeting was held by the COVID-19 committee chaired by the Director General Banking and FMRM where it was decided that fresh bank notes will not be issued on the occasion Eid-ul-Fitr 2020.
The central bank would also not issue fresh notes to its current and former employees and subsidiaries.
It advised all chief managers to disseminate the instructions to concerned officials.
