Pakistans exports are expected to fall by $3 billion

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Advisor for Commerce to Prime Minster of Pakistan Abdul Razak Dawood has said that Pakistan’s economy is in a very critical state due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Talking to the media, the Advisor said that World Bank and International Monetary Fund (IMF) have released their projections for the country’s growth and Pakistan’s exports are expected to fall by $3 billion.

The Advisor further said that the country’s year on year exports have fallen by 70% and they are in talks with the State Bank of Pakistan to postpone loan payments for businesses.

Abdul Razak Dawood was asked a question regarding sugar export in the preceding year but the Advisor declined to comment.
