Dollar gains 85 paisa in interbank market, KSE-100 Index rises.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – The US dollar Wednesday gained 85 paisa against the Pakistani rupee in the interbank market to trade at Rs158.30. The greenback has risen by Rs4.05 in three days.
The US dollar has crossed the mark of 158 against the Pakistani rupee after six months. On the other hand, the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) gained 600 points pushing the KSE-100 index to 38,295 points.
A staggering sum of Rs170 billion was wiped off the market capitalisation at the PSX on Monday when the KSE-100 index fell 1160.72 points and sank way below the 38,000-level at 37,058.95.
However, the PSX Tuesday witnessed a bullish trend as KSE-100 Index was closed at 37,695.75 points with the positive change of 636.80 points (1.72 %).
