LPG price up by Rs 50 to 200 due to closure of Taftan border.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) price has surged by Rs 50 to 200 due to the closure of Taftan border between Pakistan and Iran as fears across the region grow over a jump in new coronavirus infections.

The LPG supplies from Iran have been halted due to the closure of the border. Pakistan imported around 800 to 1000 metric tons of LPG daily from Iran. No vessel of LPG is expected to arrive in near future as well.

It is pertinent here to mention that Pakistan-Iran border has continued to shut on fourth day today (Wednesday).
