Dollar rate increased by 98 paisa in interbank market this week
The value of the US dollar decreased by 30 paisa in the open market
KARACHI (Dunya News) – The US dollar price increased by 98 paisa against the Pakistani rupee in the interbank market during the ougoing week, and the greenback traded at Rs156.83.
However, the value of the US dollar decreased by 30 paisa in the open market to trade at Rs157.20.
According to experts, the government must ensure implementations on economic policies after the deal with the IMF. It is anticipated that the US dollar rate will fluctuate for some time, and the value of the Pakistani rupee will be stabilized after continuation of the economic policies.
Gold price increases by Rs 2200 per tola:
During this week, the Gold price in Pakistan increased by Rs2200 and current price of yellow metal stands at Rs 78100 per tola.
Stock Market:
The stock market remained highly volatile in the trading sessions of the outgoing week and closed at 35,125 points after losing 448 points or 1.3 percent, restricted by economic and political uncertainty.
Commodities during the outgoing week were up by 9.1% to $57.30/barrel while brent crude oil during the week was up by 2.7% to $64.59/barrel.
The Gold price during the week was up by 4.10% to $1396.92/ounce where coal price during the week was up by 1.29% to $63.05/ton.
