Govt takes certain decisions in larger interest of country: Asad Umar
Asad Umar rejected speculations that the issue of exchange rate level was being discussed with IMF
(Web Desk) – Finance Minister Asad Umar said that the incumbent government has taken certain difficult decisions in the larger interest of the country.
Addressing a ceremony at Pakistan Stock Exchange in Karachi via a video link from Islamabad, he said work on National Finance Commission has also been started.
Asad Umar rejected speculations that the issue of exchange rate level was being discussed with the IMF.
The Finance Minister said new employment opportunities would not be unfolded unless market capitalisation is not enhanced.
He said steps were being taken for promotion of ease of doing business in the country.
Asad Umar said the government was aware about the economic problems and steps were being taken for sustainable economic development of the country.
