ECO's Secretary General arrives in Islamabad on four-day visit
He will hold key meetings with President Arif Alvi, PM Imran Khan and Foreign Minister Shah Qureshi
(Web Desk) – Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Secretary General Dr Hadi Soleimanpour has arrived in Islamabad on a four-day official visit to discuss issues pertaining to cooperation amongst the ECO member countries in different spheres.
During his stay, he will hold key meetings with President Arif Alvi, Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan and Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi.
He is also scheduled to meet federal ministers of Information, Finance, Planning and Development and Communications to discuss issues related to the cultural cooperation amongst the ECO member countries, infrastructure development agenda, regional connectivity and trade liberalization with the Federal Ministers of Information, Finance, Planning, Development & Reforms and Communication.
The ECO secretary general will also meet PM’s Advisor for Commerce, Textile and Industry and Chairman Board of Investment (BOI).
This is Dr Hadi’s first visit to Pakistan since he assumed the office as the Secretary General of the Organization in August last year.
