Dollar remains unchanged in inter-bank market

In the open market it hit Rs140 after gaining 70 paisa.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Dollar at the interbank remained unchanged but in the open market it touched the level of Rs140.

At the interbank the rate of dollar climbed to Rs138.95 but before the closing it ended at Rs138.90 level, the value of dollar remained unchanged since December 7, 2018 and observers believed that with analysis of Fitch and Moody s the country need to seek financial package to address the external debts, the room for further depreciation knocking the door.

Fitch in their report stated that by rupee is expected to touch Rs148 against the US Dollar by end of FY19 before it might weaken to Rs140 send negative signals.

In the open market it hit Rs140 after gaining 70 paisa.

According to foreign exchange dealer, the dollar rise on demand and supply issues, selling was less compared with buying orders.
