Dollar drops to Rs132.48 in interbank market

Share values recorded improvement of Rs 600 billion

KARACHI (Dunya News) – The value of US dollar declined by 13 paisa against Pakistani Rupee in interbank market and closed at Rs132.48 on Wednesday.

Following the slip, dollar closed at around Rs132.48, while the dollar at open market remained unchanged at Rs132.

The Karachi Stock Exchange also recorded gains since October 23 as 100 index gained by 3935 points or 10.4percent. 

 

Share values recorded improvement of Rs 600 billion.

The recovery comes after Saudi Arabia’s announcement of a $6 billion aid Package to Pakistan. Saudi Arabia will provide Pakistan with a deposit of $3 billion for a period of one year as balance of payment support.

A one-year deferred payment facility for import oil, us to $3 billion will also be provided. This agreement will be in place for at least three years.
