Honda Atlas increases car prices by up to Rs100,000

The prices have been revised due to negative exchange rate impacts.

KARACHI: Owing to negative exchange rate impacts, Honda Atlas Cars (Pakistan) Limited has announced that it is compelled to increase vehicle prices from Rs50,000 to Rs100,000 with effect from October 22 this year.

According to a circular, prices of Civic variants have been increased by Rs100,000 while prices of City variants have been raised by Rs60,000.

BR-V prices will first be increased by Rs50,000. From January 2019, the prices of cars will be revised again as mentioned in the table below. 

Earlier on October 17, Indus Motor Company, the producer of Toyota branded cars in Pakistan, announced to increase prices of its different variants by up to Rs175,000.

The company said in a statement, “The recent depreciation in Pakistan Rupee’s value against dollar has resulted in substantial cost increase on account of C&F, Government Duties & Taxes, imported components and raw materials for local parts. It is extremely difficult for Indus Motor Company to hold the current retail selling prices and therefore we are compelled to pass on a part of this exchange impact to the market.”

For November to December, Corolla Prices have increased in the range of PKR 50,000 to 100,000 and the prices of IMV variants have been increased in the range of PKR 125,000 and 175,000

“Our policy is always to take orders on partial payments and we discourage customers to give orders on full payments.” said the statement.
