SBP announces bank holiday on first Ramazan
All employees of the banks/DFIs/MFBs would attend the office on the Bank Holiday
KARACHI (Web Desk) – The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) other commercial banks will remain closed for public dealing on the first of Ramazan for deduction of Zakat, said a notification issued by the SBP on Wednesday.
The central bank said the SBP offices and all banks/development financial institutions, microfinance banks would remain closed for public dealings on Ramazan 1, 1439 AH.
However, all employees of the banks/DFIs/MFBs would attend the office on the Bank Holiday, treating it as a normal working day (except for public dealings).
