Summary USD falls to Rs. 106.20, decreases by 60 paisa in open market
KARACHI (Dunya News) – The inflow of remittances sent by overseas Pakistanis on Eid ul Adha have resulted in a decrease in US dollar price, reported Dunya News.
In the banking system, inflow of remittances increased from $50 million to $10 billion during the past week. Due to this increase, the price of dollar decreased in the interbank market by 11 paisa and fell to Rs.105.29.
Similarly, in the open market, dollar prices decreased from Rs.107 to Rs.106.20 this week. Experts say that annual inflow of remittances of $19 billion strengthens the value of rupee.
