ISLAMABAD (Dunya News)- A surge of 6.28pc was witnessed in production of cars and jeeps in first eleven months of previous fiscal year.
Figures issued by Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) states that 178,944 cars and jeeps were manufactured between July-2016 and May-2017.
During same period of previous year, the numbers stood at 168,363.
On year-on-year basis, the production of cars and jeeps witnessed 19.35 percent growth during May 2017 compared to the same month of last year, according to the data. It added that 18,094 cars were manufactured during May 2017 against the production of 15,161 units during last May.
