ECC allows export of 300,000 metric tons of urea

(ISLAMABAD) - Economic Coordination Committee has approved export of another 300,000 metric tons of urea by December 2017 owing to ample production of the product. The commodity could be exported till December 2017.

The decision was taken during a meeting of the ECC chaired by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar on Tuesday.

ECC also approved Rs 1.60 billion Ramzan package in a move to ensure availability of essential items at cheaper rates to fulfill the demand of the consumers.

The products in the list include sugar, tea, dates, rice, flour and all kind of pulses.
