Summary Better communication among institutions will result in improvement in trade activities, Dar says
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Minister of Finance Ishaq Dar has stated that State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and Customs shall be equipped with the latest technology, adding that better communication among institutions shall improve trade activities, reported Dunya News.
Agreement regarding electronic form was signed on Tuesday between Customs and State Bank. During the event, Dar stated that the achievements made in economic progress should not be lost, further adding that improvements shall be made in the tax collection system.
Finance minister said that the process of tax collection and foreign currency exchange shall be modernised as a result of equipping State Bank and customs with the automatic system.
Dar stated that Pakistan’s foreign reserves have improved, further adding that the reserves of State Bank alone were above Rs 18 billion.
