Cement price up by Rs 35 per bag in Pakistan
Federal Board of Revenue has issued notification pertaining to the new impositions
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Price of a bag of cement has seen an upward revision by Rs 35 under imposition of fresh sales tax by the government, reported Tuesday.
The revised price of one bag of cement is Rs 560 which earlier was Rs 525.
Imposition of new sales tax came after budget for financial year 2016-17 was announced by Federal Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar.
Government announced to end federal excise duty but imposed Rs 1 worth of sales tax on every kilogram of cement.
Federal Board of Revenue has issued notification pertaining to the new impositions.
