Summary Pakistan has received USD 5.5 billion so far
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – International Monetary Fund (IMF) is likely to approve USD 500 million installment of loan to Pakistan during board of directors meeting in Washington today, Dunya News reported Friday.
A report regarding Pakistan’s economic progress will be presented in the session. According to the Finance Ministry, the country has achieved its economic targets and IMF authorities have acknowledged the growth earlier.
Pakistan had earlier gotten approval from the international organization in 2013 for provision of USD 6.6 billion to tackle foreign debts.
The IMF grants the loan under an installment plan. Pakistan has received USD 5.5 billion so far.
