Asian Development Bank provides $50 million loan to Pakistan for LNG delivery

Summary Pakistan will annually import $1 billion LNG till 2031.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Asian Development Bank on Friday provided a loan of $50 million to Pakistan to improve infrastructure for the delivery of imported Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG).

According to details, the amount will be spent on the operation of gas processing plant, laying pipelines and extending port Qasim project.

In order to meet the energy requirements, Pakistan in accordance to the agreement has started importing LNG from Qatar.

Pakistan will annually import $1 billion LNG till 2031 which will be processed in the established LNG terminal on port Qasim.
