Pakistan Sugar Mills Association demands Rs 10-15 per kg rebate on exports

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Pakistan Sugar Mills Association (PSMA) on Wednesday demanded ten to fifteen rupees per kilogram rebate on sugar exports, Dunya News reported.

According to the association, cultivation season of sugarcane is about to begin but the assistance price has not been fixed in any province yet.

The country has stock of 500,000 tons at the moment, it added.

It is pertinent to mention here that last year the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the cabinet had approved a subsidy of Rs10 per kilogram on export of 650,000 tons of sugar.
