Summary Merging of the three markets will encourage foreign investors to invest in the country: experts

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Decision has been taken to merge Karachi, Islamabad and Lahore Stock Markets into a single ‘Pakistan Stock Exchange’ on Thursday. Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said that Pakistan will soon emerge as one of the emerging markets of the world, reported Dunya News.

Heads of all three stock exchanges signed on the agreement at the ceremony held in the capital city. Talking at the occasion, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said that Pakistan will soon emerge as one of the emerging markets of the world. He said that government is endeavoring to add 10,000 megawatt of electricity into the system till December 2017 so that business thrives as a result.

According to experts, merging of the three markets will encourage foreign investors to invest in the country.
