HONG KONG (AFP) - Hong Kong stocks ended the morning session 0.57 percent lower Wednesday following healthy gains over the past two days, while Wall Street s three main indexes all suffered heavy losses.
The Hang Seng Index fell 162.18 points to 28,087.68 on turnover of HK$84.55 billion ($10.91 billion).
But the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index edged up 0.16 percent, or 7.89 points, to 4,918.79.
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China s second exchange, added 0.38 percent, or 11.10 points, to 2,895.76.
