HONG KONG (AFP) - Hong Kong shares fell 0.74 percent by the break following an almost two percent rally at the end of last week and despite a record close on Wall Street.
The Hang Seng Index eased 205.51 points to 27,616.77 on turnover of HK$65.78 billion ($8.49 billion).
In mainland China the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index edged up 1.00 point to 4,309.69.
And the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China s second exchange, jumped 1.91 percent, or 46.74 points, to 2,489.50.
