Summary The broader Topix index of all first-section shares fell 0.45 percent
TOKYO (AFP) - Tokyo s benchmark index ended flat on Friday, as a weaker yen helped recover early losses that were driven by investors disappointment over the Bank of Japan holding off fresh stimulus measures and after a fall on Wall Street.
The Nikkei 225 index at the Tokyo Stock Exchange, which tumbled 2.69 percent on Thursday, inched up 0.06 percent, or 11.62 points, to close at 19,531.63, while the broader Topix index of all first-section shares fell 0.45 percent, or 7.18 points, to 1,585.61.
