HONG KONG (AFP) - Shares in Hong Kong retreated in the morning session Wednesday, tracking losses on Wall Street, with expectations growing that the Federal Reserve will hike interest rates as early as the summer.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index slipped 0.21 percent, or 49.59 points, to 23,847.39 by lunch on turnover of HK$42.20 billion ($5.45 billion).
