Summary Chinese shares slip in the morning as the market opens.
SHANGHAI (AFP) - Chinese shares were lower in morning trade Wednesday on concerns over the health of the domestic economy, dealers said.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.66 percent, or 15.41 points, to 2,311.12.
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China s second exchange, dropped 0.55 percent, or 7.05 points, to 1,272.47.
The government will on Thursday announce inflation figures for August.
