Rs 90 billion released for PSDP projects
The government has released Rs 90.4 billion for Public Sector Development Programme.
The Planning Commission of Pakistan has released an amount of Rs.90.4 billion out of Rs.360 billion allocated for the Public Sector Development Programme of the current financial year 2012-13.
According to the Planning Commission, an amount of Rs.90.4 billion has been released to the social, infrastructural and Earthquake Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Authority (ERRA) projects under PSDP 2012-13 till November 23.
A sum of Rs.51.06 billion has been released for 344 projects of infrastructure development out of Rs 210.9billion, Rs.35.8 billion for 673projects of the social sector against the allocation of 136.2 billion, Rs.1 billion out of a total allocation of Rs.3 billion for 68 projects of other sectors and a sum of Rs.2 billion has been released to ERRA against its allocation of Rs.10 billion.
According to Planning Commission all the releases were exclusive of foreign aid disbursement.
The government has allocated a total amount of Rs.873 billion for the development projects of the current financial year 2012-13 out of which Rs.360 billion has been allocated for the federal Public Sector Development Programme and Rs.513 billion for the provincial development projects.
The Planning Commission is currently running 1085 projects which have a total cost of Rs2934.1billion, however the local allocations for this fiscal year amounts to Rs260 billion, whereas funding amounting to Rs100 billion would be provided from foreign aid.
