Summary The auto industry faced lack of demand than production in the first month of current fiscal year.
The sale of vehicles has decreased by 39 percent in the first month of the current fiscal year as compared to July 2011.This was revealed in the annual report of Pakistan Automobile Manufacturers Association .The report said that the sale of vehiles was 8996 and 2828 tractors in July this year , which were less than 5860 in the same month of the previous year.The sale of buses and trucks remained high by 50 percent, whereas the sale of motorbikes and rickshaw also remained down by 10 percent.However the production of vehicles increased by 2.25 percent in one year period.
