Federal trade minister Makhdoom Ameen Faheem and the high-ups of trade ministry today (Monday) will brief Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf about the new national trade policy.Afterwards, Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf will approve the trade policy.The text of national trade policy is being finalized in accordance with the recommendations given by chambers of commerce and industry all over the country, Trading Corporation of Pakistan, Export Promotion Bureau, State Bank of Pakistan and the relevant ministries.According to the new trade policy, target of exports during the next three years has been set at $ 95 billion.The new trade policy will focus on increase in the exports of fruits, vegetables, milk, dairy products, and meat. In addition, special incentives will be given to the factories, which will enclose these items into proper packing, and loans will be provided on lesser rate of interest.
