Summary Government has increased its dependence on banking sectors in order to meet its expenditures.
Borrowing from one bank and returning to another continued in the second week of the current fiscal year.According to the State Bank, government borrowed Rs 81 billion out of commercial banks and paid to the National Bank.During first week of current fiscal year, the government got Rs 60.85 out of the National Bank and returned to schedule banks worth Rs 23 billion.On the other hand, private sector returned Rs 73 billion to the commercial banks as loans.
