Summary US stocks surged Friday after EU leaders agreed on steps to save the eurozone.
The Nasdaq leaped nearly two percent.In the first minutes of trade, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 167.94 points (1.33 percent) at 12,770.20.The S&P 500 index gained 19.81 points (1.49 percent) to 1,348.85, while the tech-rich Nasdaq rose 53.33 (1.87 percent) to 2,902.82.
