US$ 18 million invested in SCRA accounts

An increase of US$ 10 million in inflow of foreign investment in SCRA accounts was witnessed in the stock markets last week. According to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), inflow of US$ 18 million in Special Convertible Rupee Accounts (SCRA) by foreign investors during first five days of the last week was recorded. The collective volume of investment remained US$18 million after the investors took out US$ 8 million. A trend of increased investment by foreign investors in SCRA accounts has been witnessed for last five weeks. A total inflow of $60 million has been recorded during current fiscal year.
