The United Arab Emirates top economic official expects the Gulf nations economic growth to slow to about 3 percent this year amid a drop in oil prices.Minister of Economy Sultan bin Saeed al-Mansouri made the forecast Monday at an event to announce the UAEs economic growth for 2011.He says the OPEC members economy grew 4.2 percent in 2011. That is slower than the International Monetary Funds most recent estimate of 4.9 percent.The seven-state UAE federation has the largest Arab economy after Saudi Arabia. It is the third biggest oil producer in OPEC and is a major regional trading hub.
