Gold price surges in markets

Slight increase in gold prices was recorded in local and international markets today. Gold prices on Thursday surged to Rs 29,400 per 12 grams, up by Rs 200 whereas price of 10 grams rose to Rs 25,200, up Rs 172 in the local market, traders said. In the world market, gold price increased by $6.90 per ounce to $959. Dollar fell against euro by 0.6 percent in the currency market causing the gold price to go up.
