Summary Petroleum prices are likely to be decreased by Rs 1.50 to 2.50 per litre from May 1.

According to Petroleum Ministry sources, prices of petrol, diesel and kerosene oil are expected to be decreased by three to four percent due the $2 per barrel decrease in oil prices in the global markets.The sources said the petroleum prices for the month of May will be fixed on April 30.
