Summary Cotton prices have surged in local markets due to increase in export orders.
Cotton prices witnessed an increase 0f Rs 200 per maund to reach Rs 6400 per maund in Punjab and Rs 6200 per maund in Sindh. According to market experts, the fresh hike in prices is due to increase in export orders. Pakistan exported about 1.06 million bales of cotton during last month.
