KARACHI (Dunya News) - The Pakistani rupee continued its upward movement against the US dollar on Thursday, with the greenback losing another three paisa in the interbank market.
According to currency market data, the US dollar closed at Rs276.67 against the local currency on the fourth trading day of the business week, compared with the previous closing rate of Rs276.70.
The latest decline of three paisa reflected a marginal improvement in the rupee's value, extending its recent stability in the interbank foreign exchange market.
The movement indicates that the dollar remained under slight downward pressure during the trading session, although the change was relatively modest.
The rupee's performance in the coming sessions will remain important for businesses, importers and other market participants, as exchange rate movements influence import costs, foreign payment obligations and overall currency market sentiment.
