(Web Desk) - Former Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Amir has registered for the Afghanistan Premier League (APL) as a British citizen.

Amir acquired British citizenship after receiving a British passport.

Sources say the Pakistan Cricket Board has decided not to issue no-objection certificates (NOCs) to Pakistani players for the APL.

Media reports say several Pakistani players have registered for the APL draft, which is scheduled to take place tomorrow.

As a British citizen, Amir does not require an NOC from the PCB.
