ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - The Pakistan Army has responded to unprovoked firing by Afghan Taliban in Angoor Adda, releasing video footage of the retaliatory operation.
According to security sources, the army effectively targeted several Afghan Taliban posts and military installations in areas adjoining South Waziristan and Parachinar along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.
The sources said the operation involved heavy weapons and forced Afghan Taliban fighters to abandon their posts and flee. There were also reports of several casualties among Afghan Taliban personnel during the operation.
Security sources said the armed forces remained committed to defending the country and protecting its people, adding that no compromise would be made on national security.
