LONDON (Web Desk) - Pakistani-origin heart surgeon Dr Asif Hasan has been honoured with the Pride of Britain Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his 35 years of service in paediatric cardiac treatment and surgery in Britain.
The award ceremony became emotional when patients who had recovered under his care made a surprise appearance to celebrate his achievements.
During his distinguished career, Dr Asif Hasan has performed more than 4,000 heart operations on children and carried out approximately 400 heart transplants.
