TEHRAN (Web Desk) - Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has expressed Tehran’s readiness to provide all possible assistance to help end the ongoing conflict between Saudi Arabia and Yemen, urging the parties to pursue diplomacy and a political solution.
According to Iran’s state news agency IRNA, Araghchi held a telephone conversation with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan, during which the two diplomats discussed recent regional tensions.
Araghchi warned that insisting on military action while neglecting political solutions would further complicate the situation, stressing that regional crises could not be resolved through military means.
He said Iran was prepared to facilitate the start of negotiations between Saudi Arabia and Yemen and support efforts to achieve a political settlement.
Referring to years of deadlock, the Iranian foreign minister reiterated that Yemen’s conflict had no military solution and that political negotiations remained the only path towards lasting peace.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei also expressed concern over developments in the Arabian Peninsula, saying hostilities between two Muslim countries should not continue amid broader regional tensions involving the United States and Israel.
The diplomatic contact comes amid reports of intensified Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia and retaliatory operations by Saudi-led coalition forces.
Iran has urged Riyadh to prioritise diplomacy to prevent further escalation and promote regional stability.
