RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Pakistan’s experienced opener Fakhar Zaman achieved a major milestone in the third and final T20 International against Sri Lanka, becoming the first Pakistani batter to hit 100 sixes in men’s T20I cricket.
The 36-year-old reached the landmark at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium by hitting Sri Lankan fast bowler Binura Fernando for a six over deep midwicket. Fakhar had struck 99 sixes before the match and needed just one more to reach the historic milestone.
However, his celebration was short-lived as he was dismissed by Eshan Malinga after scoring 12 runs off seven deliveries.
Meanwhile, Sri Lanka secured an eight-wicket victory, with an impressive batting performance from Kusal Mendis helping the visitors chase down Pakistan’s target.
