ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Petrol and diesel prices have been reduced again under the latest fuel price revision, bringing further changes for motorists.

Petrol has recorded a cut of Rs2.71 per litre, while diesel has become 30 paisa cheaper.

The revised rates take effect from Wednesday (October 14, 2026), according to the fuel price information provided.

New fuel rates

The price of petrol has been reduced by Rs2.71 per litre, bringing its new rate to Rs392.66 per litre.

The price of high-speed diesel has also been cut by 30 paisa per litre, taking its rate to Rs396.82 per litre.

Daily price mechanism

The latest revision follows the government's move towards daily fuel price reviews, allowing petroleum rates to reflect changes in international markets more frequently.

Under the revised mechanism, prices are calculated using a seven-day average of international market rates, alongside other factors such as benchmark prices, premiums and associated costs.

The system is intended to allow changes in global oil prices to be passed on to consumers more promptly.

According to the pricing information provided, fuel prices will remain unchanged on public holidays, Saturdays and Sundays.
