KARACHI (Dunya News) – Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited Jinnah International Airport in Karachi to review immigration arrangements and assess the procedures being followed for passengers travelling abroad.
During the visit, Naqvi inspected immigration counters and interacted with departing passengers to gather feedback about the immigration process and facilities available to them. He also examined the travel documents of some passengers and asked Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) officials to verify their credentials.
The interior minister expressed satisfaction with the arrangements made by the immigration team. He noted that deploying additional personnel at the counters had helped reduce lengthy queues and made the process more convenient for travellers.
Naqvi also commended Deputy Director Immigration Shehzad Akbar for his performance and contribution to improving the airport's immigration arrangements.
The minister directed officials to ensure that passengers receive all possible assistance during immigration checks. At the same time, he stressed that travellers with incomplete or unverified documentation must not be permitted to proceed with their journeys.
