PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Security forces have killed three terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in Mir Ali and surrounding areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Sources said security forces targeted hideouts of terrorists belonging to Fitna al-Khawarij in Mir Ali and its adjoining areas. Three militants were killed during the operation, while a large quantity of weapons and ammunition was recovered from their possession.
Separately, security forces conducted an operation against militants described as Fitna al-Hindustan in Balochistan under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3.
According to security sources, the operation was carried out near Mal Madrasa in Surab district following information about the presence of militants between Mal Madrasa and Batigo.
One terrorist was killed during the operation, while weapons and a motorcycle were recovered from the site, the sources said.
Security forces said they remain committed to maintaining peace and order in Balochistan and eliminating terrorism.
Earlier, security forces killed seven terrorists in separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, five militants linked to “Fitna al-Hindustan” were killed during an intelligence-based operation in Bara. Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the militants, while their hideouts were destroyed during the operation, the sources said.
In Balochistan’s Chagai district, security forces conducted an operation in the Naukcha area under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3 and killed two militants, according to the sources.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the security forces for carrying out successful intelligence-based operations against Khawarij terrorists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, where four terrorists were killed.
In his statement, the minister said the timely actions of the security forces foiled the plans of the terrorists and demonstrated their operational capability.
Mohsin Naqvi said the security forces acted promptly and effectively, preventing the terrorists from achieving their objectives. He appreciated the professional skills of the personnel involved in the intelligence-based operations that resulted in the killing of four terrorists.
The interior minister said intelligence-based operations would continue until the complete elimination of terrorists. He stated that the security forces remain committed to maintaining security and taking action against those involved in terrorist activities.
Mohsin Naqvi said the brave personnel of the security forces are a source of pride for the nation. He acknowledged their role in confronting terrorist threats and protecting the country.
The minister also paid tribute to the soldiers who fought against the Khawarij terrorists. He saluted the courage and commitment of the personnel engaged in these operations and recognized their efforts in carrying out their duties.
Reaffirming support for the ongoing counter-terrorism campaign, Mohsin Naqvi said the operations would continue and that action against terrorists would persist until their complete elimination.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif paid tribute to the security forces for a successful operation in Mir Ali area of North Waziristan, which resulted in the elimination of three Khawarij.
The prime minister, in a statement, commended the security forces for recovering weapons and ammunition from the killed terrorists, while praising their ongoing operations against terrorism.
He said that the operations of the security forces against Fitna al-Khawarji were commendable and emphasized that these actions would continue until the eradication of terrorism.
He reiterated that the elimination of the menace of terrorism from Pakistan was the government’s priority and that the entire nation stood shoulder-to-shoulder with its security forces.
