MOSCOW (Dunya News) - A Russian Tu-95 military aircraft crashed in the Amur region, killing six personnel and injuring one, according to Russian media reports.
Seven personnel were on board the aircraft when it crashed near the village of Krasnoyarovo in the Amur region. The injured serviceman was taken to a hospital for medical treatment.
The aircraft caught fire after the crash. According to reports, the aircraft belonged to the Ukrainka air group.
Initial reports suggested that a fuel explosion may have caused the crash. Russian authorities said an investigation was underway to determine the exact cause of the accident.
The Tu-95 is a Russian strategic military aircraft used for long-range operations.
